Udinese has officially made Nicolo Zaniolo's move from Galatasaray permanent, but the striker is reportedly feeling disappointed and frustrated due to ongoing salary disputes. After a successful one-season loan spell in the 2025-26 campaign, Udinese activated a clause to secure Zaniolo's services for a fee of €5 million, which includes a 50% sell-on clause for Galatasaray. Zaniolo, 26, impressed during his time at Udinese, scoring seven goals and providing seven assists in 34 appearances across all competitions. His performances led Udinese to retain him, as noted by club director Gokhan Inler, who praised Zaniolo's contributions and suggested he deserved a place in the Italian national team for World Cup qualifiers. However, Zaniolo's agent, Claudio Vigorelli, has expressed concerns regarding the salary negotiations, stating that the terms agreed upon during the initial transfer did not reflect Zaniolo's true value. Vigorelli emphasized the need for a new agreement to ensure a solid foundation for Zaniolo's future at Udinese. Despite the current frustrations, both parties remain open to discussions to reach a satisfactory resolution.
